Harry's first barn conversion in Buckinghamshire
Sympathetically extending and breathing new life into this fabulous country home
This is the first of a number of barns we have converted for Harry. He has a passion for barn conversions and so have we! It allows us to use traditional materials but with the latest technologies, to achieve truly spectacular results.
In this instance, we even hand built all the roof trusses and the curvaceous staircase. But before we could get started, we had to underpin the existing walls, rebuild other walls, and create new window and door openings.

The building now benefits from underfloor heating, powered by a ground source heat pump. 90% of the lighting is low energy and the home super-insulated, making it very energy efficient. While the bats (the original inhabitants) are now safely housed in the new garage – a condition of the planning permission!
